When I found Pollen Nation I knew found a florist who not only had wonderful flowers but also were also very creative and innovative. At our first meeting I had lots of ideas and so did they and I sensed that they really understood where I was coming from. My budget was tight but this did not faze them at all, which made me feel better. All my meetings with Alison from Pollen Nation were helpful - especially as I was in the process of moving country at the time and their quote was very good and exciting. Words cannot really describe how beautiful my flowers were on the day - and just how I had imagined it. From the beautiful arrangement they made for the registry office - (which could be taken there by my maid of honor and brought back to be used to decorate the reception) to the reception itself. An example of how clever they were, was that at the entrance to the reception (held in an gentlemen’s club so quite difficult to decorate) they had placed a huge birdcage filled with flowers and trailing ivy - it was a stunning and cost effective statement. My theme was eclectic - a blend of country house and kitsch - but they pulled it off marvelously. The same happened in the dining room where a blend of small birdcages and ceramic jugs were placed on the tables and around these were dotted small glasses with just single roses in them - and of course birds - it was a theme of mine and they even sourced them for me. There was no evidence that all this was all being done on a limited budget - they even hung the chandeliers with ivy and birds! But it was my bouquet, which was just exceptional. My dress was 50’s and had a petticoat in electric pink - but they never saw the dress - just listened to me describe it and show them a small swatch of pink fabric- but the bouquet was so wonderful - so different and yet in keeping with the 50’s theme - roses and lavender interlaced with small birds - I couldn’t put it down all day and loved it so much that I have dried it and pressed the petals for my wedding album! Pollen Nation really went the extra mile; decorated the wedding cup cakes and made lovely matching bouquets for the bridesmaids, which made them feel like princesses. I cannot recommend Pollen Nation enough - for their kindness, efficiency, creativity exceptional quality and an ability to think outside of the box - they have that extra wow factor that sets them apart from other florists.
